Frequently asked questions

I have applied via the link provided, but I am not sure if everything worked out - did you receive my application?

If you have problems uploading your data and/or images, please contact us directly. This way we can check whether we have received your application. We are happy to support you with your digital application - contact us here .

I would like to apply, but I do not have my own stand. Is it possible to rent a stand?

Yes and no. We have a small number of rental stands ("klip-klaps") that we are happy to lend out for a small fee. According to the motto "first come, first served", you are welcome to write us a message or indicate your wish for a rental stand directly in the registration form under "Other remarks". We will then contact you for further arrangements. And by the way: Our rental stands have a size of 2x2 metres. Due to the minimum of 3 metres, it is therefore only possible to rent 2 stands (4 metres or more). Here you can find a similar picture of the rental stands: Click.

I have applied but have not yet been informed whether I will participate - when will I be informed?

The application deadline is 08.01.2024. The jury will meet in mid-February 2024 and select over 100 ceramists and workshops from the applications. If you have not heard from us after 10.03.2024, please check your SPAM folder. If no message has been received, we have probably made a mistake - in this case, please let us know via our contact form .

I'm the next in line. What are the chances that I can participate and when will I be informed?

A good question, which is not so easy to answer. We cannot predict when and how many ceramists will cancel their participation. Experience shows that every year about 5 applicants move in at very different times. There is no numerical order in our list of substitutes, but we decide thematically. If you are able to pack your car and drive away a few days before the ceramic days, please let us know. We collect this information and can react faster in case of a spontaneous emergency, because not everyone wants to or is able to make the usually long journey to Oldenburg at short notice. Even if you no longer wish to be called as a replacement after a certain point in time, we would be pleased to hear from you.

I am a participant, but I cannot come! What do I do now? Do I still have to pay the stand fee?

That is a pity, but if we know about it in time no problem. Please let us know if you cannot participate. You do not have to pay the booth fee if we receive the cancellation within 6 weeks after receiving the participation notification. After that we will start producing printed materials, introduce all participants on our website and plan our marketing. Cancellation free of charge is no longer possible.

I got a rejection letter. Is there a possibility to participate anyway?

Unfortunately not - in addition to the participants, the jury also selects a certain number of possible substitutes. If a ceramist cancels their participation, the substitutes will be informed and will take the vacant place. So if you have received a cancellation, unfortunately, the only option is to try again next year. You can find our call for applications for Keramikmarkt 2024 here from the end of November 2023. We keep our fingers crossed!
