Wave motion

Ioan Iosif is primarily concerned with simple, geometric shapes and their surfaces. At the same time, he searches for technical solutions to create balanced compositions of shapes and volumes. A mid-relief pattern or a so-called wavy line is his actual motif for many of his sculptures. It covers and crosses the surfaces freely like a flowing river. This symbolizes the flow of time, a parallel concept for the path of life and its dynamics.
