All that glitters is gold

Everyday companion or precious favourite? Why not both in one? says Frauke Alber. Her tableware series and individual pieces are elegant but without frills: thinly turned, beautifully shaped porcelain vessels, hardened in a triple firing process, with generous application of gold on the inside and outside. Just as artistic and suitable for everyday use as her "favourite cups", whose handles grow out of the form in elegant unity. Lamps, mortars and washbasins are just as much a part of the wide-ranging assortment as individually and personally designed urns.
