Folded, assembled, cut? Atsushi Kitahara’s architectural porcelain objects create the illusion of fragile paper artworks. His functional ceramics—stackable storage jars and mugs—made using plaster molding techniques also play with material imitations: colored porcelain loops resemble functional rubber straps. The Japanese product designer contrasts the understated white of the porcelain with glazes in high-contrast primary colors. It’s a joy to behold!
